1) New features – some of them are up - Volleyball Blog

In the last newsletter we mentioned we'll be adding new features soon. We are pleased to announce some of them are up. Since the webmaster is just another volleyball fan - not a technology wizard - he has been working long nights to get things set up :-)

First one is the volleyball blog, which delivers constant volleyball information – training tips, educational reports, current volleyball news etc.

We will start testing the blog by posting the stories about the Olympic Games in which the exciting final matches are approaching. (Please understand if we run into some technical issues with it in the beginning.)

You'll find the blog from the navigation bar on our website. If you want the direct link to the blog, click the link below or copy and paste it into your browser.

2) Another feature – Twitter (and other micro blogging tools)

We are very excited about the following interactive features, which allow us to create the feel of community and deliver valuable volleyball information to each other.

I am sure many of you have heard about Twitter, or similar tools like Jaiku or Pownce. We'll start using Twitter first since it is the most popular one.

We are planning to serve Jaiku or Pownce users also, but we recommend using and starting with Twitter.

How Twitter works?

1. You create an account with Twitter. It is very simple and takes only couple of minutes.

2. You start following us (“follow us” is similar to “adding a friend” in myspace or facebook etc).

  • by following us you’ll be getting our posts and constant updates about volleyball

To sign up with Twitter, go to homepage of Twitter by clicking the link or copying and pasting the link below into your browser.

3) VolleyballAdvisors.com on Facebook

We have added a page about www.volleyballadvisors.com on Facebook. You can read the latest website posts and blog posts there from RSS. Also feel free to add yourself as fan of volleyballadvisors.com

We'll be posting videos, articles, posts on that Facebook page in the future. The purpose of the Facebook page and other features we are adding is to add feel of community among us. We want to be more than just a cold website in the web.

Click the link to get to our Facebook page OR copy and paste the link below into your browser.

4) More interesting stuff to come

Visitors to the pages have dramatically increased and we have made plans to add more content and exciting stuff on the website.

Also you might have noticed we announced on the homepage “register by subscribing to the newsletter while the membership is still open for public.” We value our loyal followers and subscribers, therefore we are planning to give subscribers extra benefits by

  • limiting the sign up periods - registering is possible only on certain time periods
  • OR putting content to the website for a short time period only - and allowing our subscribers to enjoy the content in the member’s area

To have access into our resources in the future, go and sign up for the newsletter and become a member - if you haven’t done it yet.

Remember to keep checking the blog. We'll be reporting interesting stuff about Olympic Volleyball and Olympic Beach Volleyball final matches (if the technical issues allow us).

In case you have missed the Olympic Games already when reading this – or we have missed the games due to technical issues - of course we are planning to continue blogging after the Games also.

...until next time...

Keep the Ball Flying,
